Comparative Evaluation of CSET (Chakrasiddh Spine Expert Therapy) and Standard Physiotherapy in Management of Cervical Spondylosis
This study compared CSET with conventional physiotherapy in 60 women with cervical spondylosis. Thirty women received CSET, while another 30 received supervised physiotherapy for eight weeks. Pain, neck-related disability, and neck movement were assessed before and after treatment.
After eight weeks, both CSET and physiotherapy groups showed improvement. However, Patients receiving CSET reported greater improvement in the areas assessed in the study. Patients experienced a noticeable reduction in neck pain and discomfort and were able to move their neck more freely, including turning the head from side to side, looking up and down, and bending the neck. Neck stiffness and difficulty moving the head were reduced which improved activities like working, reading, using a mobile phone, dressing, and performing household activities easier. Many patients also felt improved posture while sitting and standing. Some patients also reported improved sleep quality.
Overall, the study found that CSET was associated with greater improvements in pain, neck movement, and functional ability compared with the supervised physiotherapy programme used in this study.
