Foot Drop – A CASE REPORT

Siddha Approach in Rehabilitation of a Patient with Foot Drop by Use of CSET (Chakrasiddh Spine Expert Therapy) - A Case Report

In Siddha medicine, Paakavayu or Panguvata describes weakness or paralysis of the limbs. One such condition is foot drop, where the front part of the foot cannot be lifted properly. This makes walking very difficult, often causing dragging of the toes, shuffling steps, frequent tripping, and poor balance.

A 36-year-old male who had foot drop in his left leg came to Chakrasiddh after trying all medications and systems. He had a history of a severe fall in his teenage years that caused back pain and a foot fracture. Over the years, he began to feel weakness in both legs, and eventually, his left foot developed foot drop. Despite taking regular medicines, undergoing physiotherapy, and trying alternative treatments, his condition did not improve. He continued to suffer from weakness, difficulty in walking, loss of balance, and limitations in daily life. He is a IT professional so giving ppts in a standing way is a must, due to his present condition he was on leave from last 4 months and wanted some relief and strength to hold himself.

After one month of Chakrasiddh Spine Expert Therapy (CSET), he experienced a remarkable recovery. His foot strength improved, walking became easier, his balance and posture got better, and he regained mobility and gait improved. He was also able to perform daily activities with much more confidence and without the same level of struggle. This case shows how Siddha therapy, especially CSET, can offer new hope for patients with foot drop by working on both body alignment and nervous system energy.
