Plantar Fasciitis Management – A CASE REPORT

Comparative Study of Managing Plantar Fasciitis by Integrated Siddha Varmam and Energy Healing to Conservative Treatment

Plantar Fasciitis (PF) is one of the most common causes of heel pain, often associated with sharp pain during the first steps in the morning, stiffness in the calf muscles, difficulty in walking or standing for long periods, and persistent morning stiffness that can last for months.

In this study, patients were treated with either Siddha Varmam therapy (with energy sessions) or conventional care with medications for one month to determine the effectiveness of our therapy. While both groups experienced some relief, those who underwent Siddha therapy showed marked improvement—morning heel pain reduced significantly, calf stiffness eased, walking and standing became more comfortable, and overall mobility and daily function improved. Most importantly, patients in the Siddha therapy group did not experience recurrence of pain during follow-up, suggesting that this holistic, non-invasive approach provides lasting relief and better quality of life compared to conventional care.
